CPR and First Aid Training

Two courses to choose from... 

CPR & First Aid Instructor Course:

Training meets OSHA Guidelines for First Aid Programs and combines lecture, interactive video demonstrations featuring emergency scenarios that are likely to occur in a variety of environments and hands-on training to teach participants lifesaving skills.

  • First Aid: Participants learn to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts and scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies.
  • CPR Adult: Participants learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults
  • CPR Child and Infant: Participants learn how to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in infants and children under 12
  • AED: Participants learn how to use automatic external defibrillators

Length of class will vary dependent on selection of topics.
2 year certification; classroom and blended learning options available

Wilderness First Aid Student Course:

Designed for scouts, outdoor enthusiasts and those working in remote environments, this course teaches how to respond to an emergency when help may be delayed. This course is based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines and meets OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs. 

  • Primary and Secondary Assessments
  • Head (Brain), Neck and Spinal Injuries
  • Heat-Related Emergencies
  • Hypothermia
  • Altitude-Related Illnesses
  • Allergies and Anaphylaxis
  • Burns
  • Bone and Joint Injuries
  • Wounds and Wound Infection

Prerequisites: Must be at least 14 years old and hold current adult CPR/AED certification.
Course length: 16 hours; 2 year certification
